Welcome to the official blog of Felicia Fisher’s Black Buggy Baking Company – a place where I catalog my musings about being not only a busy mom but “The Busy Baker” baking really good pies and creative, “gynormous” cookies in Oley, Pennsylvania (which is located 60 miles North of Philadelphia and, more importantly, 3 1/2 hours from New York)
Quite frankly, the Black Buggy Baking Company came into existence as a fluke – I like to bake and my husband’s family had a farm stand where I could sell baked goods. After practicing commercial litigation in New York City for 13 years (8 of which I commuted 3 hours each way from PA!) I gave up the practice of law in order to have an opportunity to focus on my family and baking.
While most days are consumed with simply keeping up with my 3 young children and baking the pie and cookie variations I’m already known for, in my “downtime” I like to experiment with new creations. I’m intrigued with interesting, out-of-the ordinary combinations and am always open to suggestions.
